2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you visit a page, the web server automatically records the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of the request, the page accessed, the HTTP status code, the amount of data transferred, the referring website and the browser and operating system used. This data is required to deliver the pages, to keep the service stable and to detect and defend against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website. Log files are deleted after 7 days unless they are needed for an ongoing security investigation. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

3. Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website does not set cookies, does not use web analytics and does not embed advertising or social media plug-ins. No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from third-party servers; all resources are delivered from our own origin. The language of a page is determined by the domain you visit (www.metadist.de is German, www.metadist.com is English), so no preference needs to be stored on your device.

Our pages link to external websites such as www.synaplan.com, GitHub, the Open Source Business Alliance and our partners. Data is only transferred to those providers once you actively follow a link; their own privacy policies then apply.

If you contact us, we process the data you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) to handle your request and possible follow-up questions. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the contact aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Personal data is processed in Germany. We do not sell personal data and do not pass it on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have given your consent. Our email service providers act as processors bound by Art. 28 GDPR agreements. No data is transferred to countries outside the EU or the EEA through the operation of this website.
